School Programs

Activity Clubs:

Highland Park offers several after school clubs. Students have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of fun programs, such as circus arts, computer, chess and gardening clubs. Students who are at-risk of not meeting grade level requirements have the opportunity to receive after school tutoring through the Homework Club. More information about the offered programs and schedules will be coming as the school year continues.

Parent/Adult Volunteer Program:

Participation in our volunteer program is critical to the successful functioning of Highland Park. Parents and teachers working together provide the best instruction for our children. Volunteering is both stimulating and fulfilling for those involved. We encourage mothers, fathers, grandparents and community members to share in this special experience.

In order to work with children, participate in the field trips, or help in classrooms, etc., you must be approved by the Washington State Patrol. If you are interested in learning more about our volunteer program, please call our school office and ask about the application process.

PTA:

Highland Park has an active PTA group. The purpose of this non-profit organization is to serve the needs and desires of their members in promoting the health, welfare, safety and education of children in home, school and community. The PTA provides opportunities for parental participation during the school day and encourages direct involvement in our school. It sponsors a variety of community-wide projects to foster citizenship, promote the arts and safety issues and build pride in youngsters. A strong PTA is dependent upon its members, so please join and support the student body of Highland Park. Inquire at the school office: 206-252-8240.
