September 23, 2009 Hello families of room 209 students. The time is flying. Already we have had the
school BBQ dinner, gone on a Field trip to Cedar River Watershed to see where
our city’s water comes from and are into our third week of school. Next week
will be our curriculum night on September 30th. I hope to see you there. I will be sharing with you what I will be
teaching this year in Reading and writing. Ms. Resendez and I are teaching to
our strengths and sharing the 5th grade students during the
day. Ms. Resendez will be teaching the
Math and Science this year. We both
hope to see you on the 30th. Please know that your child has homework Mon., Tues., Wed., and
Thurs. night. We expect a minimum of
50 minutes a night on homework. When
you see that it has been done, please sign the homework assignment paper. I firmly believe that it takes the 3 of us to make this a
powerful learning year. Please be a
