SUCCESS-ORIENTED PHYSICAL EDUCATION

WELCOME

Back to Hawthorne Main Page

I’d like to welcome new and former students to Hawthorne. I believe in a program that promotes teamwork, cognitive awareness, cooperation and challenging lessons that provide an opportunity for each child to learn and let their ‘light shine’. I inspire all students to take ownership of a lifetime wellness and learning adventure. Every Hawthorne child understands that ‘if you had FUN you WON’. I believe education is the inclusion of all people, each representing the human race in our differences, our sameness, our need for love, understanding, respect, and a sense of belonging. I see education as an opportunity to prepare students with skills and human awareness that everyone needs on a daily basis both in and out of school.

It is essential that your child wear shoes that they can run in EVERY day, not just Physical Education days, because the daily homework for PE is to do a lap around the track, or two, or three, or more, plus work out on the bars during playground time.
