In fall of 2002, students in Ms. Nhi Le's after-school Chinese Youth class
at Hamilton International Middle School developed vignettes based on their family
holiday traditions. Each student selected a favorite holiday and described an
experience celebrating that holiday.
With guidance from Jack Straw Production's creative team, the students enhanced
their stories with sensory detail by identifying and placing sounds and music.
In Jack Straw's studios each young writer rehearsed, voiced, and created sound
effects, learning production techniques under the supervision of professional
our artists and engineers.
