Chinese New Years!

by David

Chinese New Year is a holiday that celebrates the New Year coming. It starts with the new moon on the first day of the New Year and ends on the full moon 15 days later. Lots of people wear red on the New Years because it brings good luck. On Chinese New Years you get money in red envelopes and it’s for good luck too. You get lots of different kinds of food on that holiday like chicken, soup, rice, fish, or noodles, fried chicken and at the end you can get candy too. The food taste good and delicious because they are cook or fried. The fried chicken tastes crunchy and if you dip them in sweet sauce it is fabulous. The rice is plain until you put chicken and other food like vegetables with it and it’ll taste better. There are firecrackers that can be seen from a far distance and they are lit at night. There are parades like the lion dance.
