Christmas in Kenya

by Amina from Kenya

In Kenya where I lived we celebrated Christmas at night. Sister Louise is a nun who took care of the refugees. I was one of the refugees. Every Christmas, Sister Louise put all the refugees together. So all the kids put together a dance and a song for her to say thanks for everything. The women cooked food like chapatti. Chapatti is a flat bread made out of flour and fried in a pan. Chapatti is not like the Indian one. We drank Fanta. Some people went home early, but some stayed all night. We all love Sister Louise for what she did for us.
