Claudia Sandler's eighth grade foreign language classes had a wonderful time performing their plays on March 14th and 15th, 2001. They performed during the day for Hamilton students and guests from The John Stanford International School, and in the evening for their families and friends. The Spanish class chose to put on "El Mago de Oz"( "The Wizard of Oz"), and the French class chose "Blanche Neige et Les Neuf Nains"(Snow White and the Nine Dwarves). The students made some very creative and entertaining changes to both scripts, and learned a lot of Spanish and French. One of the high points was the question and answer period after they performed for a group of students from the Bilingual Orientation Center at John Stanford International School. Many in this group were native speakers of Spanish, and my students were very pleased that these students had understood them.
