Principal’s Report There will be a new plan from the district to replace the Transformation Plan. Marni brought our four year WASL data , which was also shared with staff in the meetings before school started, so we could look at it to help us in making our new plan. The new plan was initially due September 17, but is now due September 30. Marni is planning to take the old plan and put it into the new format. A subcommittee was gathered to give her input on the plan including Tony Renouard, Rob Feigal-Stickles, April Lindner, Jonathan Duyker (student rep class of 2010) and Ken Tarleton (elected in his absence). The district will be administering the PSAT to all 9-11 graders (district-wide) on October 15. Our plan right now is 9th graders will take it in 1st block 10th graders will take it in 2nd period 11th graders will take it in LA? 12th graders will come late Marni objected to the district’s mandate of all 9-11th graders taking the test because of the last minute nature of the plan and because of unresolved questions like: What about parents who don’t want their students to take the test? and what about other tests already scheduled that week? II.
Elections Tony Renouard was elected chair April Lindner was elected secretary Next meeting will be October 7. First item on the agenda will be to establish norms. Send other agenda items to Tony. |
