RAIDER RETAIL is a student-ran student store and is a school-based enterprise with certification program guidelines. RAIDER RETAIL is a class offered through Business Education and students earn credits in Marketing I, II, III, or IV. It is a great place for students to learn leadership skills, business skills, workplace skills and teamwork abilities to name a few key elements in this classroom environment.
The purpose of a student store is as a training lab. Student Store Manager is Josie Vandermar-Poor, senior. Adviser, Caroline Tertocha, is certified in Marketing and Entrepreneurship as well as Graphic Communication. The student store follows all SPS Snack Compliant guidelines and the Non-Compete clause with the cafeteria.
Our specialty item is Otis Spunkmeyer Chocolate Chip Cookies – baked fresh daily. The best sellers are Fruit by the Foot and Rice Krispie Treats (all meet nutrition standards). Soon to open are two new entities of Raider Retail: 1) Raider Gear, and 2) School Supplies. Surprise offerings are being introduced as we grow…look for the next great “item of the week” in Room 122 soon. See you at RAIDER RETAIL – open daily at lunch.
