Teacher Training Workshops

About a month before each dress rehearsal, the Seattle Opera Education Department offers a free teacher training workshop to aid educators in preparing students for their visit to the opera. I have been going to these workshops for many years and they are informative and fun. I usually leave with several good ideas for how to integrate each opera into my curriculum. The sessions also afford a wonderful opportunity to meet colleagues from other local schools who share similar interests. The workshops are held on Saturday mornings from 10:00-11:30 a.m. usually at the Seattle Opera rehearsal studio. Let me know if you are interested in attending one of these sessions.
