Performance #1: Reed’s Group
These gifted young men have chosen to do a drama, but at the same time include music and quotes into their performance. Performer Jerome M. tells us "It's goin' to be bomb, no one else will ever think to do this." Throughout the performance Ian H. will be playing songs such as Eye of the Tiger and his own originals on his guitar while Sam (the role of major companies) and Jerome (a farmer) are acting, but with a twist. There will be no dialogue between these two, but done as a pantomine. Using well-thought-out actions and many facial expressions, they are trying to portray the idea that globalization is destroying nature and indigenous cultures and that the uprisings are not working. The final member of the group, Brian C., will post quotes about what courage is, as well as points of view about globalization by people such as Zapata, Koti Annan, Che G., and McDonald’s. We hope you like it. Sam looking sharp Jerome listening Ian practicing Brian thinking hard |
