Weekly:

Due Friday May 9
Focus on one section of text where the author does something of interest/relevance to your own writing pieces. Analyze it through a close reading OR: select a technique the author does throughout the novel—uses Afghani words, or hints at future events—
and analyze the use and effect. 1.5 pages TYPED
Note: we will have an idea and practice workshop in class to prepare for the analytical writing.
