Important information for Juniors and Seniors:
Juniors
●Verify you are on track to graduate in June 2011 and see what options exist after graduation by making an appointment with your counselor.
● Juniors considering college need to sign up for the SAT/ACT tests, which are required for admission. It is suggested that students take both the SAT Reasoning and ACT (with writing) at least once in their Junior year. Some colleges such as University of California schools require the SAT Subject Test (SAT II’s) so check your college requirements carefully.
● Sign up now at www.collegeboard.com for the SAT and at www.ACT.org the ACT.
● Fee waivers are available for students who are on free/reduced lunch. Go to the counseling office for details.
● If you have a 504 or an IEP plan and want to request accommodations for the SAT or AP tests, pick up the forms in the counseling office (forms take 2 months to process, so submit your paperwork early). Forms to request accommodations for the ACT are available at www.ACT.org
