Club By-laws of the Associated Students of Nathan Hale High School

 

 

 

~Clubs are a fundamental part of Nathan Hale High School.

 

~All ASNH clubs are open to participation by any NHHS student currently attending Nathan Hale high School.

 

~Clubs must complete a “Charter” each school year. A sample charter is attached. All charters must minimally have the following information: name of the club, NHHS staff member sponsoring that club, student leader’s names responsible for that club, purpose of that club and meeting times.

 

~Clubs may complete By-laws which identify rules and expectations of club members and participation at particular levels.

 

~Club are required to give the Club Commissioner an activity summary once a quarter. That summary will include fundraising, finances and a reflection on activities completed within the quarter

 

~Clubs may petition the SLC for funding once they have been operating successfully for 3 continuous months of school and have completed their first activity summary.

 

~Clubs may fundraise within the laws and regulations which guide all ASB fundraising.

Funds raised by clubs may be spent under normal ASB allocation rules.

 

~The SLC will support all chartered clubs and assist in events and ideas as needed as well as be the arbiter of any conflicts or problems which arise concerning club operations.

 

~The Club Commissioner will Chair and convene a Club Council at least once a semester to review club procedures and problems as well as converse about club issues. Club Council members shall include a leader of each club(who must attend,) the Club Commissioner and ASNH Vice-President.
