Greenwood PTA
Greenwood Elementary is supported by a very involved PTA. Through fund raising events, the PTA sponsors many enrichment and social activities including the vocal music teacher, assemblies, after-school classes, buses for field trips for every classroom, and teacher "mini-grants". Some of the annual events to look forward to are the Jog-a-Thon, the Spring Dance, the Auction, the Carnival, and book fairs.
General meetings are held on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 7 pm in the Lunch Room, unless otherwise noted. You do not need to be a member to attend meetings.
The membership fees are $10 for individual, $15 for family (two voting members), $7 teacher or student, and $25 patron. Membership gives you voting rights at meetings, although you do not have to be a member to attend. One of our goals this year is to double our membership from last year's level.
Joining and volunteering with the PTA is a great way to make a difference in your child's education and meet other school families.
Feel free to contact any of the PTA officers with questions, ideas, or to volunteer.
