Lunch

There are three lunch times:

• 11:45 am-12:25 pm K-1 (Baker, Harris, Shook, Tougher)
• 12:05 pm-12:45 pm 1-3 ( Salterberg, Crawford, Raichle and new teacher)
• 12:30 pm-1:10 pm 4-5 (Dunker, King, Fraser, Zelko)

Students are to stay inside to eat for at least the first 15 minutes of lunch, and then they are dismissed for lunch recess.

The price of a student lunch with milk is $1.75. Milk alone is 40¢.

Any family that may be eligible for free or reduced-price lunches should fill out a confidential application (available in the main office) as soon as possible.

Payment for lunches can be sent each day or money can be put into your student's lunch account. To do this, deliver cash or a check (made out to Child Nutrition) to Judi in the kitchen. If students forget their lunch and money, they may be extended credit for one day. After one day, they may be given milk, fruit, and vegetables only.

Families are welcome to join students for lunch. The price of a visitor lunch is $3.50. Please sign in at the main office every time you visit the school.

Snacks and ice cream are also available for purchase. Snacks (popcorn, goldfish crackers, etc.) cost 25¢-35¢. Ice cream bars cost 60¢-$1 and are usually for sale on Friday only. Payment for these items can be in cash or taken out of the student's account, with a parent's permission.

Hot lunches will continue to be available to Greenwood students as long as a minimum number of hot lunches are purchased each week. Otherwise the district provides box lunches.

If you pack your student a lunch, please try to avoid large or caffeinated drinks, large quantities of candy, or food to share with other children.
