Academic Study Club Monday/Tuesday
This class provides an opportunity for students to get a jump start on homework assignments or catch up on missing assignments before they get home and provide tutor assistance around specific subjects with a certified teacher. PLEASE COME PREPARED WITH YOUR WORK!

READ my mind Monday/Tuesday
Here is another great opportunity for students to enhance and build on their reading skills through a wonderful, fun and school-aligned curriculum facilitated by literacy professionals.

Basketball Skills/Drills Thursday
Learn basic BBall skills through fun drills and friendly scrimmage competition with your peers. Boys and Girls welcome!

Break dancing Thursday
Woah! We have Jerome from Massive Monkeys (on Americas Best Dance Crew)! Dance and learn the cultural background of B-Boying from one of the best!

Cartooning, (limit 25 students) Thursday
Join a very popular class that taps into your creative mind through drawing. Chris and Victor are professional artists and will show you more than just drawing. They will show you how to build your own comic from scratch as well!

Chess Club Friday
Ms. Dashti is inviting all students who love to play chess to come out and be apart of the intramural chess club program.

CLC Music Ensemble (limit 10 students) Friday
This is a fun coarse allowing freedom of expression through singing, drums, and tambourines. Be a part of an original music composition and show off your musical talents!

DRAMAtized Friday
This is a play-based program and A LOT of fun. We will adapt the Shakespeare’s MacBeth into the setting of a modern day middle school.

Girls RAP (RIGHTS! ACTION! POWER!) Wednesday
This is where girls are able to discuss issues that affect them, create meaningful art projects, learn about the media (magazines, TV, music videos, etc), go on field trips, create a positive girl culture, and develop strong relationships with women instructors.

Graffiti Art Wednesday
Learn the history and culture of the TRUE and beautiful art of Graffiti and its original intent. Experience the respect, love and passion this art form brings out of its creators.

Guitar Heroes!! Wednesday/Friday
This is a beginners and intermediate guitar class…yes…the actual guitar itself, not the video game. If you love to play guitar or always wanted to learn, come be a rock star!

Hip-Hop Dance Team (limit 15 students) Thursday
A combination of rhythm, motion and flare, be a part of this hip-hop dance team and get it poppin’! Be prepared to perform and display your skills at upcoming Denny events.

Jazz Band Monday/Wednesday/Thursday

Jewelry Making Wednesday
This talented instructor uses hemp and a variety of other materials to create gorgeous necklaces, bracelets and earrings. Join this class, design and create your own jewelry.

Mariachi Band Wednesday/Friday
Denny Mariachi is a class for students who would like to learn how to play traditional mariachi music. Students will sing and learn how to play guitar, violin, vihuela, trumpet, or guitarron. Mariachi Denny es una clase para estudiantes que tienen las ganas de aprender a tocar música tradicional de mariachi. Los alumnos cantarán y aprenderán a tocar la guitarra, el violín, la vihuela, la trompeta, o el guitarrón.

Middle Eastern Cooking Wednesday
Yum Yum Yum! Learn to make Middle Eastern dishes such as pita bread, hummus, baba gahanoush, etc. Make sure you bring some to Mr. King when at the end of class. J

Money-Wise Thursday
This class you will appreciate for a lifetime. It is a 2-session program. It will teach you budgeting, banking, credit, making, saving and investing money. Those that are 13yrs old can qualify for their own Pre-Paid Visa Card at the end of the Fall Session! Ask Mr. King for details. Parent permission needed for Visa Card applicants.

Orienteering Thursday
Orienteering? YES, Orienteering! Ha! This is a distance running program that combines running with quick thinking through the use of a compass and a map to navigate to marked locations in a park or a forest. The person that chooses the best route has the best chance of winning. Doesn’t matter who’s the fastest or strongest, but who’s the smartest! This class will teach you the technical skills of Orienteering and will allow you the opportunity to compete in local Orienteering meets.

Papier Mache Thursday
This arts and craft favorite is full of creativity! With Papier Mache, you can almost create anything. Come get your hands pasty and have a ball!

Soccer Skills/Drills (Starts in Nov.)
Boys Spring Soccer is starting up and the coaches want to get you prepared. All you soccer stars that plan to join our soccer team or if you just want to come out and have fun improving your soccer skills, sign up with Mr. Diaz today!
