Welcome to Proyecto Saber! All of the Proyecto staff is glad that you have chosen to take this class. It shows that you are aware of the importance of your education and you are ready to take on your education with a POSITIVE attitude. A positive attitude promotes school success and the leadership skills you will need in college and throughout your life. We look forward to helping you succeed.

As a Proyecto Saber student, you are held to the highest expectations in and outside of the classroom. We expect you to work to your full potential and follow Proyecto Saber’s contract rules. Please read the following contract rules and initial each one. Your signature and parent/ guardian signature are required to validate contract.

___ I will walk into Proyecto Saber with a positive attitude everyday.

___ I will take the initiative to be an active learner in class (i.e., participate in class discussions and skill lessons).

___ I will come to class on time everyday and will be prepared to study. This includes bringing my books and all necessary materials.

___ I will encourage my parents/ guardians to be actively involved in my education (i.e., volunteer in school whenever possible).

___ I will show respect to myself, fellow classmates, and Proyecto staff at all times (i.e., no put-downs and/or negative attitudes).

___ I understand that being in Proyecto Saber means I am a leader in school and in my community.

___ I understand that I am responsible for my own actions as a young adult and will strive to make the best/ appropriate decision possible to solve any situation.

___ I understand that if I don’t have work for any of my classes, I will read quietly or do any work/ projects assigned by Proyecto staff.

___ I understand that my attendance in all classes will be closely monitored and that unexcused absences and skipping will be reported to my parents.

___ I understand that I will receive a letter grade for this class that will be based on my attendance, attitude, and efforts in class.
