Math:

In our math class we will review the basic operations and concepts. Every student will be provided with individualized instruction to meet all special needs. We expect our students to feel confident while they build new skills in a friendly learning environment.
We expect them to master addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, as well as other abstract concepts in math. They will learn to use money; they will understand the concept of fractions, place value, estimation, mental math (compensation) and writing numbers.
We are very excited to work with your child this year. Our classroom has an open door policy; therefore, you are welcome to visit us anytime. We hope we will have a great year.

Welcome to Language ARTS:

In this course, our class will learn the grammar basics. Students will understand the different verb tenses and how to use them. Students will develop organizational skills using a composition book. Students will learn and apply the writing process and they will write essays about different topics at their own level. The course will use flexible activities including art to develop the students’ imagination.
I know we will have a wonderful learning year!

Life Skills:

In this class students will learn to understand their own disabilities, how to explain them to others and how to compensate them. Students will also learn about everyday activities like using crosswalks, traffic lights, how to relate to others and how to manage and
understand their own feelings.
This class will be an important part of the students' development. The expectations are to help them to understand that a disability does not disqualify them from being part of the mainstream society.
