Biography:
I have been a teacher for 19 years. I was born in El Salvador. My greatest wish is to help your children learn and develop successfully.

This class will teach
Students will learn the history of how the United Status was founded/developed.
Students will recognize the different geographic regions of the United States..
Students will be able t olead Socratic Seminars regarding different religions, ethnic groups and cultural differences.
Students will learn about the physical geography of the United Status (revers, mountains, lakes, etc.)

Course Basics::
US History is taught all year..
We will do research projectsi n the school library and at the Seattle Public Library. We will practice oral presentations.
Students are expected to attend classes and if they are absent they are responsible for turning in what they missed. Students are expected to be respectful with guest speakers, their classmates and all teachers and assistants.
At the end of the year students will recognize Basic history of the United Status .

All our materials will be multicultural. We will use community based organizations to help us with guest speakers and local cultural events to highlight a specific culture.
We will also do an Intergenerational Program with Senior Citizens from SeaMar Clinic.

Parents are welcome to visit the classroom at anytime. Open door policy.

Biografia:
He sido maestro por 18 anios. Soy nacida en El Salvador. Mi mayor deseo es el de educar a sus hijos para que puedan defenderse en la vida. Les ensenare con mucho respeto, amor y disciplina. Trabajar en esta escuela es lo que yo siempre he deseado.

Lo Que se Ensena en Clase:
Los estudiantes van a entender y a aprender la historia de como se formaron los Estados Unidos...
Los estudiantes reconoceran las regions geograficas de los Estados Unidos..
Los estudiantes podran comparer y respetar diferentes religions, culturas, etnicidades que forman los Estados Unidos..
Los estudiantes aprenderan la geografia de los Estados Unidos (rios, oceanos, lagos, puntos historicos, etc.)

Descripcion del Curso:
La clase de Historia se ensena todo el anio escolar.
Vamos a hacer proyectos e investigacion. Practicaremos presentaciones orales.
Se espera que los estudiantes atiendan la clase, terminen sus tareas y proyectos y sean respetuosos con nuestros invitados.
Al final del anio escolar los estudiantes conoceran la geografia de los Estados Unidos en relacion adonde ellos viven. Los estudiantes tambien conoceran la historia de como nacieron los Estados Unidos y de las aportciones de otros paises a su historia.
Los materials a usar variaran desde textos, a visitas a la biblioteca publica, invitados especiales a hablar sobre cierto tema, videos, etc. Todos los materials son multiculturales, siempre incluyo a personas de otras culturas como invitados a mi clase.
