· Special projects, or other unique experiences as a part of class: The students will work on several art projects involving mostly drawing and painting. The theme of the artwork will vary…samples include: fish/bird montages, portraits, calligraphy. Grid art, 3-D paintings, perspective etc. We will also explore multicultural arts, and art history.

· Assessment: Visual assessment ….did the student follow the project guidelines? Also, test taking…

· Materials used (Specifically mentioning multicultural materials): Using videos, books, posters etc. students will be exposed to, and identify techniques from various artist, cultures, and times.

· Other? My class expectations are for the students to attain a high level of involvement, participation, and achievement. I want them to enjoy working on the projects, and have fun, while being knowledgeable, and understand the basic elements and principles of art in a comprehensive and sequential program that supports them. The “ARTS” influence and contribute to our lives and our communities. The arts support our basic needs spiritually, emotionally, physically, and intellectually. A positive artistic learning experience that overlaps into other core curriculum areas helps children get better grades in all subjects and on tests. I want the students to enjoy art and have fun in this class. I encourage my students to take their projects home to share.
