Helping Your Child with Math Homework

In helping your child learn, one goal is to assist them in figuring out as much as they can for themselves. Good questions and good listening will help make sense of mathematics, build self-confidence, and encourage mathematical thinking and communication. Here are some questions you can use to guide your child's thinking:

SEATTLE PUBLIC SCHOOLS ANNOUNCEMENTS

The following meetings are related to the New Student Assignment plan.   The School Board will vote on the final maps on Wednesday, Nov. 18.   For all meetings, translation services will be provided.

Note: At the School Board Work Session on 11/4, new drawings will be shared.   These drawings will include changes for Denny.

Ayudandole a su Hijo/Hija conla Tarea de Matemáticas

Una manera de ayudarle a su hijo/hija a aprender, es ayudandole a que se den cuenta de todo lo que ellos pueden hacer solitos, sin ayuda denadie. Hacer buenas preguntas y poner atención son dos cosas que les ayudará a entender las matemáticas, a sentirse animados y a desarrollar sistemas de pensar de una manera matemática y a poder comunicarse también. Aqui se les sugiere algunas preguntas que les pueden ayudar conla tarea de sus hijos:

Las siguientes reunions estan relacionadas con el Plan de Asignamiento de Escuelas para Nuevos Alumnos.

La Junta Directiva de las Escuelas Públicas dará un voto final de los mapas el dia Miércoles 18 de Noviembre. Para todas las reunions habrá alguien que traduzca.

Nota: En la junta de trabajo de la Junta Directiva de lasEscuelas Públicas de Seattle el 4 de Noviembre es cuando se revelarán los planes nuevos. Estos planes incluirán nuevos cambios para la Escuela Internacional Denny.
