Title: Claude Monet’s Water Lilies

Project: After viewing a PowerPoint lesson full with the rich history and stunning reproductions of Monet’s Water Lily series students first painted the background then layered the lilies in much the same way as this famous impressionist.

Materials: Paper, tempra, vano starch as a binder

Vocabulary: Impressionism as a style of painting, mixing and layering the paint on the canvas, spontaneous composition or painting without initial drawing, analogous color, complimentary color, perspective.
