Title: Fifth Grade Self Portraits

Project: Continuing the tradition of the fifth graders producing a self portrait for graduation, a black and white photo was provided by Kelli Munro. Using the photo as a mirror image, students then drew the other half of themselves. Using their own lives as subject matter they completed the boarder of this extensive project.

This project was a modified version of “The Real You” and used to complete the Classroom Based Project Assessments (CBPA’S) currently required of all fifth grade visual art students.

Materials: Paper, graphite and colored pencil
