Title: Amelia Pelaez - Cuban Painter
Project: Amelia Pelaez entered art school at the relative late age of twenty. In 1924, she went to New York and studied at he Arts Student League. In 1927, she went to Paris and gained what she considered her most important training. She acknowledges her debt to the art of Matisse, Braque, and Picasso in developing her personal version of cubism.
