Project: The paintings tell the stories of the origins and culture of the land and its people. Aborigines have the longest continuous cultural history of any group of people on earth, dating back 65 thousand years. The dreamtime is the stories of things that have happened, how the universe came to be, and how human beings were created. These stories have been handed down through the ages and are still an important part of the Aboriginal culture.
