Title: Matisse, The Cut Outs

Project: Collage from student made paper

4th and 5th grade students worked from a drawn study and looked to landscape and began to learn simple perspective.

Matisse was in his seventies when he began his collage project known as the cut outs. Just like Matisse the students made their own paper and used scissors to cut shapes from this brightly colored paper to create their own works.
