Purpose:
The intent of Project C.A.R.E. is to provide the 50 selected
students a weekend camping trip designed to recognize good school
behavior. It is a weekend of learning and fun intended to reinforce
the positive contributions made by participating students.
It is our hope through the interaction with staff
and peers the participants will know they are appreciated for
the excellent example they offer to their classmates and that
C.A.R.E. will server to reinforce their choice to act appropriately.
It is also our expectatiothat students learn a fair amount about
the environment and whales specificallly.
Participants:
50 students from grades 9-12: all are welcome!
Outline:
Students and approximately 16 staff members all depart Chief
Sealth the Friday of the weekend around 1:30PM. We drive to
Aberdeen for a brief dinner stop before heading to Twin Harbors
to set up the campsite that will be home for the next two days
