Poetry Club
Faculty
Advisor: Marta Sanchez
Mission
Statement: The environment of the club is very open to anyone who
enjoys writing poetry, reading it or who would like to listen to poetry.
The Poetry Club will provide a safe place for Sealth students to support
all expressions of all kinds of writing, including rap, slam, spoken word,
freestyle and formal pieces. With that what is excluded at all times are
materials that support hate related or pornographic messages. Readings
may be at Sealth or in the community. These types of reading focus on
educating the community on teen poetry and literacy.
Meetings are during DEAR times, Tuesdays in room 131.
