Are you Japanese
American and want to go to Japan? The Japanese government is offering
scholarships for a trip to Japan for Japanese American high school students.
The application deadline is December 20, and if you would like to apply,

Come out this Friday
or Saturday to support your drama department in the Fall Play. Arsenic
and Old Lace is a comedy that our students have been working hard on.

Celebrate International
Education Week by learning about Georgia, the country! Tamuna Beridze,
Sealth's exchange student from Georgia, will show slides from her country
Friday, Nov 20 at 2:40 in the Library computer lab. Should be interesting

Winter Sports athletes
- If you haven’t done so, please turn in your paperwork and fees
to Mr. Reed no later than Friday if you want to participate. Athletes
that haven’t paid their fees may be taken out of practice next week.

Congratulations to Molly Freed, Ally Stariha, Ashley Tran, Jasmine Walker
and Natasha O'Rourk-Perry who were named 1st team Sound Division for their
hard work on the Soccer field this Fall. Emma Pierce, Miranda Taylor and
Danine Soliven received honorable mention.

Wednesday, Nov 25,
Student Conservation Association: 9th, 10th and 11th graders are invited
to explore the outdoors and conserve our natural resources while developing
leadership skills. Earn service learning hours one evening and one
weekend a month January through June. Plus all-expense paid summer
travel and gear!

Heroes: All high school grades are welcome. Perform a variety of
service learning projects 2-3 Saturdays each month, January through June.
Interested in developing
your public speaking skills? The National High School Oratorical
Contest provides local, state, and national speaking opportunities.
Prepare an original 8-10 minute speech on the United States Constitution
with the FREE help of speech teachers and debate coaches. Talk your
way into college! Start preparing NOW for contests starting in January
2010. More info available in the Career Center.
Seattle Theatre Group
(STG), the non-profit arts organization that operates the historic Paramount
and Moore Theatres in Seattle invites the public to learn more about these
theatres by going on a FREE behind the scenes tour the first
Saturday of every month at 10am at The Paramount & the second Saturday
of every month at 10am at The Moore Theatre.
