Academy Courses

The Academy of Finance is an academy program, which students apply for at the end of their sophomore year. The following is the courses which need to be completed to receive an Academy of Finance diploma:

Business Operations
Are you a potential entrepreneur? This course presents a comprehensive view of the priciples and practices of starting a business and getting a job in the business world. Create your own business! Learn interview techniques so that you can get your summer internship in the Academy of Finance. Learn how it all fits together in the World of Business!

Financial Management
Lean how to succeed in the world after high school including career and college planning, insurance, and the devlopment of savings. In addition, you get to manage the student store, work on a marketing plan, and run a business.

International Finance
This class satisfies the American Government requirement at Chief Sealth. Learn how our government works, participate in a mock trial with law students from the University of Washington, and learn about the international business community.

World of Finance
Learn general economic principles through games including the Stock Market Games, Japanese Corporate Takeover, and Cash Flow. Learn how to handle your finances in life after high school.
