The B.F. Day Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) is an active organization which sponsors many important school activities such as:
B.F. Day has the support of a strong and active coalition of parents/guardians and students who help the school with the Academic Achievement Plan, raise much needed funds, organize morale-boosting events and obtain school supplies. Our PTSA is instrumental in helping B.F. Day remain unified and enriched.
The PTSA is a member of the Washington State PTA, Region 6
Objectives of PTA
To promote the welfare of children and youth in the home, school, community, and place of worship.
To raise the standards of home life.
To secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth.
To bring into closer relation the home and the school, so parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth.
To develop between educators and the general public such united efforts that will secure for all children and youth the hightest advantages in physical, mental, and spirtual education.
PTSA Meetings
The PTSA Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of the month from October through
June at 8:30 a.m. in the School Library (on the main floor). The playground
is open for early supervision at 8:25 during PTSA Meetings.
