Visiting Alki Elementary School and Classrooms
During normal school hours, all visitors must use the main entrance and sign in at the office -- this includes parents and school volunteers, too. We will have you sign in and create a visitor badge to wear. Please remember this is for everyone's safety.
Lunch is a great time to visit your child, meet his/her friends from class and catch up on the day. Adult lunches are available for purchase in the cafeteria for $3.50 or you may bring your own. Or just sit and enjoy the little ones having their lunch!
If you would like to visit your child’s classroom, please check with the teacher for his/her policy about visitation. As a general rule, we request that Alki visitors follow District policy by planning such visits with the classroom teacher ahead of time. (This helps provide a minimal level of disruption for the teachers and the students’ educational process.) You can arrange a visit with your child's teacher by:
- calling or emailing your teacher using information provided in the Staff Contact List
- sending a note with your child asking the teacher to contact you
