School Banking
Alki students have a unique opportunity to set up a savings account at school thru First Mutual Bank. The goal of this program is to teach children about the value of saving money. The minimum deposit to open an account is $5. For each Alki student who enrolls, First Mutual Bank will add another $5! (This is a ONE TIME bank-sponsored deposit). Alki students can make deposits at school every Wednesday. The minimum weekly deposit is $.25 cents. Best of all, there are no fees or minimum balance associated with these “Save at School” accounts. Children may withdraw their money in person at any First Mutual branch.
To get started, simply complete the form, located outside of the school office. Then return it to school on Wednesday, Alki’s designated Bank Day!
