Great Composers
The Great Composers Program introduces classical music to Alki students by teaching them about the lives of famous composers and sharing their music through listening. A team of parent volunteers introduces a different composer and their music to the children at the beginning of each month. The teachers then play that composer’s music in the classroom through the rest of the month to reinforce its familiarity.
