An Invitation from the Melting Museum Opera Company PR Department
Adrian Aron, Dakota Dewolf, Erika Roscoe, and Zara Soares
Room 6, Third grade

You are invited to our Opera, The Day They Disappeared, and original opera about children’s rights.  Our third grade class at AE II wrote, produced and will perform it.  It includes six original arias and other ensembles and duets.  The money we raise will go to help build a one-room library for children in the village of Xcalak, Mexico.  We have already sent them books.

The Opera is Friday, May 21 at 7:30 pm.  It will be held in the AE II auditorium.  We are asking for donations of $6 for adults and $3 for children.  You can reserve seats by making a check out to AE II Parent Group, and sending it to Melting Music Company,  c/o AE II, 7711 43rd Ave N.E., Seattle WA 98115.

Our goal is to sell out our performance and raise as much money as we can, so higher donations are welcome.  We would really like you to come.

Sincerely,
Melting Music Opera Co. PR Dept.

Editors note:  We include this invitation, not only as a promotion for the Room 6 Opera, but also as an example of one of many forms of writing that that the children in Room 6 have learned in their expedition.  Through this statement, the children provide an excellent demonstration of the integrated curriculum that expeditionary learning fosters.
