Kids’ Time Registration It is about that time to think about registering for Kids’ Time. We will have fall registration packets available on April 21 for those who would like information on our program. Registration begins on May 5 if you are already in the program or if you have an incoming Kindergartener. Our wait-list registration begins shortly after, on May 13. If you are on the Kids’ Time wait-list, remember to reregister for the new wait-list. If you do not reregister during the week of May 13, you will lose your place on the wait-list. The cost of our before-school program is $170 per month, and our after-school program is $260 per month. If you have questions, please stop by the Kids’ Time room or call Ian or Kert at (206) 729-9538. Kids’ Time is also offering a summer program for incoming first- through fifth-graders. The incoming first- and second-grader camp will be located at Wedgwood Elementary School, while the incoming third- through fifth-grader camp will be at Thornton Creek Elementary. The cost per week will be $145, except the second week, when it will be $116 because we will not be open on the July 4

2008 Amazon Expedition! with Todd Bohannon.
I am organizing a trip to the Amazon this summer. We will be traveling with a Colorado-based, nonprofit, educational organization called “Global Explorers.” I am looking to put together an adventurous group of students between the ages of 12 and 17. We will be traveling from June 29 to July 8. Our time in the Amazon will be spent with five guides and a number of local experts.

This program emphasizes four core disciplines: science, culture, leadership and service. I attended this program last summer with a group of students and was blown away by the impact this experience had on everyone involved, myself included. I hope to recruit students soon, as we will be engaging in a significant amount of preparatory work and fundraising. I will be putting together an informational meeting sometime in the next two to three weeks for anyone interested in learning more. You can read more about Global Explorers at: www.globalexplorers.org.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Todd

The Victory Heights evening 3-5’s preschool program is enrolling students for the 2008-09 school year. The program is designed for kids who have turned four years old by fall, 2008, and is geared toward those who will be entering kindergarten the following year.
Our teacher, Suzie Barrow, is finishing her second year of teaching at Victory Heights but has a total of almost seven years of experience teaching preschool. Her energy and enthusiasm resonates throughout the class, and all of the kids adore her. If you’d like to know more about us and our program, I’m happy to answer any questions. Please contact me, Jen to set up a time
