ON the WEEKEND :
Skiing
by Oliver L
Last weekend I went skiing. Instead of going the easy way down, I went the hard way down - head over tail! It looked easy, but it was not because it was a steep mountain and it was a long way to the bottom.

The Amazing Story of "Fairy-Locks"
(like Goldi-locks)
By Mia C.
There once was a little fairy named Goldie the Sunshine Fairy and she was very selfish. One day she saw a butterfly and it flew and she chased it until she got lost in the meadows. Then she slowed down and started walking. Then she found this cute little house and knocked on the dor. No one answered. She tried the door knob and the door was open. So she flew inside and saw some wild strawberried and clover juice.
That is when she noticed she was totally hungry. She ate all the strawberries and drank all the clover juice. After that she took a nap in one of the beds upstairs, and later on woke up to find 3 fairies staring at her. Soon they became friends. They invited Goldie to stay over and she did.
When she finally flew home, she sighed with relief and told hermom all the fun things she did with the snow fairie. And they lived happily ever after.

Arts Report, October 21, 2007
By Catherine L.
We started drumming with Hank last Friday. I liked it. There were lots of drums, 2 cowbells, tambourines, and a gong. Max played a Steel Drum. We all played the gong. I loved it when we played “Simon Sez.”
Our class expedition is Sound and we got to learn about a lot of instruments that make sound. We also learned different rhythms. Everyone seemed to have fun.
– I am excited to write about Arts for Room 2. I will be talking to my class friends to find out when they see a play or dance, or go to a museum or a music concert. I’ll ask them what they liked or didn’t. I’ll also write about Arts we do in class, like learning to play the ukulele. Let me know if you have any ideas. We can even do pictures! – C.L.
