Turn 1 - Population 10
Today we started to settle in to our little cave by the water. I love the way the water glistens in the morning sun. But this morning, the sun was accompanied by a loud cracking sound. Ever since the sun rose there has been a overwhelming uneven thudding sound. It sounds must like the day ice rained from the sky. All the animals ran for their lives!

Those who saw it said it sounded like the sun had crashed into the top of a huge round mound. I don't blame it for exploding because the mound is very hard.
We came over it as we walked there. I tripped and fell - my knee bled. It is still sore! Today mother and I went for a walk. We were amazed to see Simon playing some sort of game with a very long stick.
Turn 2 - Population 70
Good news! Today a mesenger brought word of a new way of feeding our tribe. It is called "Hunting." Dylan was amazed. Simon was the first to hear the news

Turn 1 - Population 20
My family learned to gather. There are enough figs to support our family and two others. My mohter told me and my sister to go gather some figs. We went to the clump of trees to gather figs. We found a fig tree. We climbed up the tree and got some figs. By the time we got back down we were covered with scratches and bruises. We hurt all over.
We decided that there must be a better way. We tried throwing sticks at them but they all either missed or got stuck in them. We decided to try throwing something else at them.
We tried throwing leaves, stick and twigs. We decided to try small rocks. We threw some small rocks at them. Most of them missed, but the ones that hit knocked them down. We threw some more up and finally started back to home with our arms full.
Our mom was thrilled to see how many we had brought home! We told the rest of our family the easier way to gather. When our mom told us to go back and get some more, we brought back 3 loads. |
