K: Why did you come to AE2?
R:  I heard really great stuff about the teachers and principal, and I wanted to be part of it.  
 
K:  Do you like it here?
R:  Yes.
 
K:  Did you teach before?
R:  At Salmon Bay.  It was similar, but grade k-8.
 
K:  Do you have any kids?
R: No, I don't have any kids.
 
K: Did anything stand out to you when you first came here?
R: I was very interested in the Expeditionary Learning.
 
If I had had time to ask more, I would have.  But since I did not, BYE!

Math Report

We are doing fractions. Fractions are a part of something, like cutting up a pie and you get pieces. The pieces of the pie are fractions. You add them up to get a whole pie.

The Owl

One night an owl flew through a house. It flew in through the attic window. It was cold and dampl Nobody lived there except 12 mice and 12 rats. Before they needed to be careful because in the house there was a cat. Now they had to be really careful because there is 1 cat and 1 owl. When the owl came in it waked up the cat and they had a fight. In 12 hours time, the owl had beaten the cat. The cat left and the owl left. The cat went back to hunting and the owl went back home.

The Deathly Hallows

The story you are about to hear is very deadly indeed. Its about vampires, ghosts, and skeletons, and two little kids who med another kid named Spike who is very interesting indeed. Now the story will begin.

One day the zombies came out of the ground. And then the skeletons approached and the kids screamed and ran home, but the vampires chased after them. And the kids were thinking, what should they do? And when they decided, another kid came over and his name was Spike. Spike had lots of ideas. Spike said the zombies are out there and the skeletons are out there to scare us.

When they cam outside they had a surprise. They heard something moaning. They looked on the roof. They see a ghost. He sweeps down and the kids take a bat and they try to hit the ghost but the bat goes through the ghost! The vampires came back. Spike had an idea. Spike says,
"Quick, run in to your room.

The Deadly Desert

Characters: The ghost, a headless man, and kids.

The kids went to the desert. They saw something behind the cactus. The headless man came out of behind the cactus. The headless man took a piece of the cactus. He tried to hit the kids. The headless man missed. The kids elbowed the headless man and they took a zapr and zapt the headless man. The ghost swooped down. And the skeletons approached.

The kids wonder what to do and they thought and thought what to do so they finally figured out what to do. They took a piece of the cactus. The kids tried to hit the skeleton but they missed. the skeketon. They all said, "Quick, Quick! go fast, get home."

Suddenly Spike appeared again. Spike the flying glider wants to save the world from monsters who are sticky, ugly and mean. Spike fought the skeletons away but a bulldog came over and spike said, "Oh Man!" and then ran home but the bulldog ran after Spike. He looked inside the house, he looked up the stairs and he saw the kids and Spike said, "Look out there is a headless man behind you. And the kids said, "That is the one that tried to hit us. So get him out of here"

So they went away and Spike fought him away and they had a party. But the kids did not know what happened and they never figured it out, and they never will
