Blood Worms
by Sydney H.
Lots of people think of worms as a simple slimey bug that squirms around in the dirt, but worms are also complex. There is one kind of worm called a Blood Worm that has tny black teeth. If you get yourself near their mouth, they'll bite you. Their bite is not like a mosquito bite. Its bigger and will bleed more. Blood worms are a very expensive fishing product; a blood worm digger can make 25 cents a worm depending on the size. They are a creamy pink colof. Blood worms can grow up to 35cm (centimeters ) in length. They also have gills. They aren't very good at swimming, but they are great burrowers. They live in sandy places and salt water. Their teeth are connected to glands filled with venom that come out like a shot when they bite you.
