Donations Team

We can't have an auction without items to go to the highest bidder! So please explore the Donations section of this site to learn more about what kinds of items we seek and how you can help secure them.

If you want a "sneak peek" at all the goodies and would like to help track, sort, catalog and package items, please join the Donations Team.

How you can help

The Donations Team is responsible for:

  • Developing strategy to maximize donations.
  • Contacting businesses & organizations to find items to auction.
  • Coordinating the donation “ask” letter, which is sent to previous and new businesses requesting products/services for auction.
  • Keeping track of donated items and ensuring that each one has a completed form.
  • Maintaining the auction database and keeping it updated as items are donated.
  • Assembling and packaging items together for maximum revenue.
  • Sending thank you notes to donors.

We’re seeking volunteers in these key positions:

Parties & Experiences Coordinator: Drum up interest and nail down the details for donations that involve parties and experiences, like Ladies Night Out/Mojito Mamas, Guys Poker Party, Kids Rootbeer Float Party, Adult Wine Tasting & Appetizers, etc. Communicate back to the Donations Team and ensure that the donor form with description is submitted for the catalog. You can also assist with or coordinate the materials for the display boards at the auction. Timeframe November through March. Contact Nancy Lichter for more details.
