Music

Adams is proud to offer a full-time choral music program and instrumental music for intermediate students. Based on the state standards for the arts, our music program teaches students essential musical concepts and allows them to enjoy the pleasure of a variety of music and songs. Students have the chance to perform for school functions and to participate in choir. A new, updated keyboarding curriculum is also going to be offered. We have plans to expand our arts program by offering movement and drama.

Student Support

In addition, students who need extra services can receive them at Adams. We offer speech, physical therapy, special education and language services for students. We have two highly rated and frequently requested special education classrooms. Our Family Support Worker is also available-to offer support and resources to all our families.

Social Skills and Anti-Bullying Program

Adams supports students’ emotional and social needs too. We have made a commitment as a school community to provide students with a physically and emotionally safe environment by implementing programs that help students learn how to deal with each other and solve problems peacefully. In K-2, students participate in Second Step which gives them the emotional language to express their feelings and helps them learn to solve problems. Students in 3rd-5th grade learn anti-bullying and social skills in the Steps to Respect program.

Gym

Using a non-competitive approach, our gym program focuses on building skills, keeping active and having fun.

After School Activities

Thanks to PTA sponsorship, Adams offers many choices of after school activities throughout the school year.
