Global Reading Challenge

The Global Reading Challenge is a reading program for 4th and 5th graders in Seattle Public Schools. The Seattle Public Library puts on this annual reading feast and the Ballard Rotary Club purchased books and audio books for Adams students so that they can participate in this program which encourages children to have fun reading.

After reading 10 books together as a team, students take part in a game of questions to determine the winner that goes on to the city level. Adams Global Reading School Challenge will be on Tuesday, March 18. There are two more elimination competitions and then the winning Seattle team goes on to compete in a video conference challenge with Kalamazoo, Michigan and Fraser Valley and Coquitlam British Columbia in Canada.
