Adams is very proud of its parent, staff and community involvement. Our active PTA provides a multitude of enriching activities and daily support. The PTA  works to enhance our children’s educational experience, strengthen their love of learning and add to the sense of belonging among the families and staff at Adams.  We hope the information below help you to better understand what we do and why it is so important to join!

Why do we need a PTA and what does it do?

PTAs Benefit Everyone
The PTA addresses issues that are important to parents and public school administrators. We fight for full funding, quality teachers, and capabilities for schools to thrive. Membership is open to everyone. The Adams PTA is autonomous but supported by a national structure.

Leverage Volunteer Power.  The PTA helps organize hard-working, dedicated volunteers. Parents/Guardians and Family members are ready to help implement school improvement programs.

Improve Communication. The PTA coordinates the school weekly and monthly newsletter and information fliers, keeping the entire school community informed of current events, issues, and accomplishments. Regular Planning and General Meetings allow the Adams PTA to collaborate on solutions as well as share information to the membership and community.

See Measurable Results. More than 85 research studies conducted over the past 30 years prove that kids do better when parents are involved. Grades are higher. Test scores improve. Attendance increases.

Discover More Dollars. The PTA is self-funding. By inviting the entire Adams community to join and participate in fundraising we are able to support school programs, building improvements, and educational and social events.

The PTA provides after-school activities (including Spanish, drama, science, and art), field trips and outdoor education, book fair, carnival and computer equipment and maintenance are just some of the many areas made possible by PTA funding and volunteers.  We work hard to ensure that children succeed.

For less than 3 cents a day, you can become a PTA member, joining more than 5 million other people who share your interest in issues affecting children. How do I join the PTA?

The PTA membership cost is $8.50 for a one year individual membership.

To join, please complete the membership application (link below), enclose with your payment to the Adams PTA and return to your child’s classroom. Spouses, family members and community members are encouraged to join as well.
