Building Bridges for Summer Learning symposium scheduled for May 12
Seattle Public Schools will hold a Building Bridges for Summer Learning symposium on Saturday, May 12 at Chief Sealth International High School. All parents are invited to attend this free event which includes workshops and a Summer Program Resource Fair. The District's office of School-Family Partnerships helped organize the symposium.
A light breakfast and lunch will be served. Children's activities, transportation, and interpreters will be available. Keynote speaker will be Dr. Luis Ricardo Fraga, a university professor and author who has researched, written and taught about the politics of race and ethnicity, immigration, education and voting rights.
