Health & Safety - Nursing Program

Student Health Services is the nursing program of Coordinated School Health Department and is dedicated to assuring a safe and healthy environment for all learners.  Our staff of dedicated certificated school nurses, LPNs, and other support staff are experts in student health in the educational environment.

Nurses strive to assure all children have full participation in the educational programs which starts with attending daily, being well-rested, well-fed, and ready to learn.  Our goal is that all children are successful in school.

All students are served by Student Health Services.  The nurse's role is to assure required screenings, immunization compliance, development of individual health plans (IHPs), and to train school staff on the essential individual needs of students with chronic health conditions.  They support a positive safe school climate, assist the team in disability accommodations, provide direct nursing care, delegate safe oral medication administration, and participate in student health education.

Student Health Services' staff is ready to partner with families to assure student success.
