Carmela Dellino
Executive Director of Schools - West Seattle Region
Carmela Dellino has been in education for over 30 years. Before becoming an Executive Director of Schools in 2012, Ms. Dellino served as Principal at Roxhill Elementary School for four years. Under her leadership at Roxhill Elementary, the school moved from a Level 1 – the lowest performing – to a Level 3 out of 5 performance levels.
Ms. Dellino started her teaching career in the 7th and 8th grades at St. Luke’s School in Shoreline and the Shoreline School District. She taught English for 4 years at Blanchet High School and then shifted her focus to serving students and families as a school counselor. In this role, she worked for four years at Nelson Middle School in the Renton School District and for 12 years at Shorewood High School. She became the assistant principal at Shorewood High School in Shoreline for three years before coming to Seattle.
Ms. Dellino holds Bachelors of Arts in English Literature and Italian Language and Literature and a Masters in Education from the University of Washington. She is proud to be the parent of a son who currently resides in Seattle.
