Robert S. Boesché
Interim Deputy Superintendent
Beginning May 22, Mr. Boesché was appointed to fill the interim role of Deputy Superintendent.
He started at Seattle Public Schools in March 2011, when he was appointed Interim Assistant Superintendent of Business and Finance. He has worked closely with staff and community members on issues such as enrollment, facilities planning and transportation.
Mr. Boesché has served as a school finance consultant for several Puget Sound school districts, including Edmonds, Shoreline, Vashon Island, Monroe and Kent. He also was employed as Chief Financial Officer for the Northshore School District from June 1989 until he retired in November 2001.
Boesché holds a superintendent credential with an emphasis in school finance and operations from the University of Washington. A former high school teacher, he taught marketing and DECA classes at Inglemoor High School before being promoted to Director of Vocational Education and later to CFO in the Northshore School District.
He enjoys all types of music (“there’s nothing like ‘60s classic rock”) as well as golf and running, and is a veteran of many Torchlight Runs, St. Patrick’s Day Dashes, Jingle Bell Runs, and ‘Beat the Bridge’ local races.
