ENROLLING YOUR STUDENT

Welcome! Seattle Public Schools offers a variety of programs and learning opportunities to support each student's individual talents and interests. The overview below will guide you through the enrollment process.

Determine Your School
New students are assigned to a general education classroom at their attendance area school.
Students may also apply to attend any other school or program in the district. Assignment depends on space availability and the assignment rules in effect at the time of application.

Download and Complete Forms
Once you have identified the school that you would like your child(ren) to attend, you will need to fill out the appropriate forms and gather the necessary documentation.
You will need to complete a school choice form if you are applying for a school other than your attendance area school.

Submit Forms and Verify Enrollment
There are several ways to submit your enrollment documents to SPS, including mail and email. Periodically throughout the year, we accept enrollment materials at alternate locations around the city.
